As an Engineering Trainee - Project Engineer Electrical Engineering you are responsible for the management of investment projects under the aspects of economic efficiency, work and operational safety as well as major projects in close cooperation with the experts of the respective departments.

You actively participate in the development of project concepts and specifications
You prepare investment applications and perform profitability calculations
You ensure maintainability and compatibility with existing systems
You regularly inform about the latest state of the art to ensure the use of optimal future-oriented technology
You control and monitor the work carried out in close cooperation with subcontractors and internal departments
You take over the final acceptance of the plant and give the release for production
You ensure that the investment is completed on time and within budget
You coordinate the cooperation between subcontractors and the plant's internal departments

How you convince us
You have successfully completed your studies - preferably Master - in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology, industrial systems or similar
During your studies you were able to gain first relevant experiences - ideally in a manufacturing environment
Basic knowledge in Lean Management (5S, Ishikawa, etc.) and/or Six Sigma methodology is an advantage
You are curious to get to know other locations within the scope of a rotation and are willing to travel accordingly
You have a hands-on mentality and want to drive sustainable solutions for our company with passion and know-how and bring your ideas to the table

Your trainee at the Koblenz site
Locationinfo: The Koblenz plant employs around 1,300 people. The aluminum rolling mill with foundries in Koblenz and Voerde specializes in three market segments for global requirements: the aerospace industry, the automotive industry and the defense industry. For this purpose, highly specialized panels are manufactured at the site in various designs, sizes and coatings. In addition, highly specialized sheet for mold and tool making as well as for transportation and future-oriented industrial applications is produced in Koblenz.
Novelis is known for its ongoing support of safety education from kindergarten to local fire departments, and sponsors local renaturalization and other sustainability projects.
