As Engineering Trainee - Continuous Improvement/ World Class Manufacturing you will actively contribute to the implementation and roll-out of our production management system "World Class Manufacturing" (WCM). You coordinate and lead projects to reduce waste and to optimize procedures and process flows.

You actively participate in the implementation and roll-out of our production management system "World Class Manufacturing" (WCM)
You coordinate and lead projects to reduce waste and optimize procedures and process flows, both in operations and supporting departments
You contribute to the creation of standardized and robust processes throughout the plant
You evaluate data and metrics to identify new projects and define priorities
You train and coach project teams, project managers, plant operators, and technical and managerial staff in WCM methodologies
You support and drive our cultural transformation

How you convince us
You have successfully completed your master's degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, quality or similar
During your studies you were able to gain experience in the areas of continuous improvement, Lean, Six Sigma, WCM or similar - ideally in the industrial sector
You are curious to get to know other locations within the scope of a rotation and are willing to travel accordingly
You have a hands-on mentality and want to drive sustainable solutions for our company with passion and know-how and bring your ideas to the table

Your trainee at the Göttingen site
Locationinfo: The Göttingen plant in central Germany is an important European site for the production of beverage can stock and surface-treated aluminium for many attractive markets and employs around 700 people. It specializes in the surface treatment of aluminium coil stock and includes a research and development center primarily concerned with the study and development of surface coatings and the simulation of end-product manufacturing at the customer's site. In addition, the Göttingen plant supplies extruded bottles, cartridges, and cases for the automotive, construction, pharmaceutical, food and chemical industries.
Novelis is committed to the local community and works in numerous collaborations with schools to promote math and science education as well as robotics competitions and workshops.
