As Engineering Trainee - Continuous Improvement/ World Class Manufacturing you will actively contribute to the implementation and roll-out of our production management system "World Class Manufacturing" (WCM). You coordinate and lead projects to optimize productivity, quality and costs.

You actively participate in the implementation and rollout of our production management system "World Class Manufacturing" (WCM)
You train and coach project teams, project managers, specialists and executives in WCM methods
You coordinate and lead projects to optimize productivity, quality and costs, both in the operational areas and in the supporting departments
You support our improvement proposal system (VV) as well as our continuous improvement process (CIP)
You participate in interdepartmental projects
You develop yourself self-determined according to your career goals and visions within the EDP Mentoring Program

How you convince us
You have successfully completed your studies - preferably a Master's degree - in the field of mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, process technology or similar
During your studies you were able to gain first relevant experiences - ideally in a manufacturing environment
Basic knowledge in Lean Management (5S, Ishikawa, etc.) and/or Six Sigma methodology is an advantage
You are curious to get to know other locations within the scope of a rotation and are willing to travel accordingly
You have a hands-on mentality and want to drive sustainable solutions for our company with passion and know-how and bring your ideas to the table
Communication and teamwork skills are among your strengths
You like to make decisions and take responsibility
Open-mindedness, authenticity and openness characterize you
Business fluent German and English as well as good MS-Office skills complete your profile

Your trainee at the Pieve site
Locationinfo: The Pieve plant, situated south of Milan, Italy, employs approximately 200 people and has more than 50 years of experience in aluminium rolling and recycling, focusing on recycling of coated aluminium. Thanks to advanced technologies, the plant is a leader in continuous casting and cold rolling, supplying plain aluminium for a wide range of applications such as Pharmaceutical, Automotive, Closures, Food and Lighting.
Alongside the Pieve plant, Novelis has also built a solar park. This investment in renewable energy is an important step in Novelis’ global sustainability journey and will further decarbonize plant production. By installing this solar park, Novelis is supporting the development of sustainable, low-carbon aluminium solutions for the European market.
Novelis Italy is committed to their local community, supporting the preservation of cultural and artistic heritage as well as local schools.
